Talvez por isso vai surgir em 2007 o International Journal of Energy Sector Management: "The International Journal of Energy Sector Management is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary platform for disseminating results of research related to and/or relevant for the management of the energy sector. The journal aims to focus on holistic, applied research on energy sector management and to disseminate practical solutions of difficult decision-making problems by providing a common forum for wider interaction, information sharing and publication of relevant applied research, thereby trying to bridge the gap between industry and academia."
